I need some help with my tranny & was wondering if you guys would want to help. I am looking into a couple of options & need to remove my tranny so I can fix it. I lost 2nd gear on the way to Joliet on Sunday. The gear detent went away & I now have a skip shift tranny.

Once you drop the tranny, are you going to send it out or fix it yourself?

Do you have the Bently manual?

If that doesn't go through they are going to get me a parts list so I can rebuild it like theirs, & I have the bently manual. I have studied cars since I was very young & I was also a navy mechanic in the seebee's so I should start putting that knowledge to use.

Heck, do you think we could tackle it on jack stands in my garage?

I've pulled manual trannies before, but never on an Audi. Triumphs (come through the inside of the car) and Datsun Z cars.....not very hard to do.

If you don't have a line on anything, maybe we can work something out.
