Default hold the clutch down with the car in 1st gear, rev it up, then let off the clutch..

takes practice to get it right

I wouldn't do that repeatedly on a stock clutch though.

Default Firstly, you must clarify what kind of car

different launch technique for my S4 than for the older body style s4 or a 1.8T. Secondly, keep in mind that these cars dont come with clutches that are made for launching. Prepare for some lowered performance if you repeatedly do it (or get an aftermarket clutch). Unfortunately our audis dont have clutch forgiving wheelspin (at least not much of it) so you can really do a number on a stock clutch if you arent careful. IMHO.

Default AWD, RWD, FWD...

... ESP/PSM type of stability system?

More basic traction control system?

Open rear diff? Limited slip? Solid axle?

How short is your first gear?

NOS?

Shooting for MPH or ET?

Any idea if you'll hit the trap in second, third, or fourth?

Auto or manual?

etc.
