Default I need a competent shop to diagnose and fix the a/c in my '93 camry

any recs?

I think there's a leak in the system b/c it just got a freon charge a year ago. Well, at least I *paid* for a freon charge at Lucas... that's no guarantee they actually did the work.

Default If you're out in LaGrange or Brookfield

Go to Al's radiator shop on Ogden in Brookfield right before you go over the bridge into LaGrange, just East of LaGrange Road.

They actually know how to evacuate and recharge a system. They also test and fix them too.

Cheap and funny place!

My A8 had to be charged last year and again this year. It was too low for them to get underneath to check it out so I just told them to charge it!

Default Those guys are cool. They laughed at me when I brought....

... in the radiator from my dirtbike (it is only about 3inches wide and 7 or 8 inches high).

Quick turnaround IIRC.

Default "Best place in town to take a leak"

Or so their sign says.

They do good work, Shon. And if you go there then stop by to say hi!

Otherwise, perhaps Al? I don't have A?C stuff for anything other than R12 and R22 otherwise, I'd give it a shot for you.

Default I hate them too - totally untrustworthy.

the camry is my beater. You haven't lived until you've taken the s-curve on LSD at 50mph in a camry. :-p
