If i bought a test pipe... would it make my car much louder?

So the down pipe is essentialy the peice with the flex pipe?
I know it is differnent on S4's, so maybe thats where my confusion came from. I thing I am just confused by the terminaology. SO jesal's exhaust only repalced the resonator and muffler and used stock parts from the resonator to the cat? unlike my APR exhaust that repalced all of the exhaust up top the cat?
I guess after pulling enough apart it seams like a scam to sell an extra piece to have a "full" exhaust.

Mines just like your APR....
Miltek comes with the downpipe and their system goes all the way up to the stock cat. Which is why im replacing the stock cat with a test pipe (bolts right up to the milteks downpipe)
Now am i saying all this wrong, is that why i confused you? Please correct me then. =)
