Ford's financial situation is very precarious. Losses in North America are camouflaged by recent asset sales. Ford management destroyed billions of dollars in Jaguar and Land Rover/Range Rover. Ford, last year, mortgaged almost all of its assets to raise badly needed capital. As any cap mkt desk about the quality of Ford.
Ford has produced bad product for decades and the consumer has a long memory. Attractiveness of product design does not always equate to financial success.

though. If it did, I think it would be wise to badge it as a El Camino...

It was on a roped off platform so you couldn't really get near it. Now this year they actually had one in the booth that you could sit in. It was very impressive. And I'm not suggesting it was impressive *for a Pontiac*. It was just impressive... period.
Would I trade my Audi for one today? Probably not. But I would certainly consider it as a future possible vehicle when the time comes to part ways with my car.

it comes time for a new car. 4 door, V8, loaded for around 35k. GXP should be out by the time I am ready also. cant get a comparably equipped and sized audi/bmw/benz anything for that kind of money. not bad at all. Will be in my top 5 when I decide on the next car

and what is so great about Holden as a brand itself? I looked at the current lineup and as far as looks go they're ok, nothing great imo.. wagons are a bit appealing though.

Holden brought to the US. as far as Quality I know I havent seen any GTO's roll through here with any major problems. fit and finish is far superior then anything GM has to offer other then the 08 Cadillacs. I think the Wagon will do well here if it is marketed and sold properly through the dealer network
