Default Fine prose docktor, but what about the tourniquet ....

Bill
There have been several instances of turmoils over the years at the national level. As I read the latest, the words of an old boss of mine come to mind. When there is business carnage to mend, the rules of hyper-diligence apply. To the mission statement, bylaws, and BOD actions contradicting either. This apparent shell game to the National BOD applicant process, exactly defined bad judgment when lack of fairness applied to a basic mistake, exponentially increased the magnitude of it.

Could this really be that the late Beddor Q-ESQ, original purpose and vision of a small band of merry men in MN called the "Quattro Club", now defines a small corporation? And possibly that the Mission Statement may need intense refinement so that tangential deviations from it don't require legal intervention/interpretation of by-laws to identify?

People are not the problem here, I am friends with hundreds in this club, including past and present National Board Members. Exponential growth without refining purpose and intent of the entity is. Without that refinement, a continual series of band-aids applied to surface wounds, doesn't stop the internal bleeding.

In the meantime, I'm quite content leaching friendships, laughs and stories with good people that own quattros, in spite of any audi contextual political affiliations.

My .02 arbitraged thru the rising krona

Default We are working on that.

The ACNA BoD is having a meeting as I write this. I hope our letter had some impact - we'll see.

I have had a great deal of communication with current and former ACNA BoD members since yesterday and all of them have voiced their thanks and support. This of course is limited to the exchanges I have had. There are some, no doubt that have put me on their **** list. But that's ok. I and the Board of the ACCCC do not serve National, but rather we are here to serve the local chapter members. Along the way, I think that many on the current ACNA BoD may have forgotten that - in spite of their best intentions.

Next Wednesday brings the monthly conference call between chapter reps and the ACNA board. While I am certain that I will be treated as a pariah by some, that will not alter my course. We will continue banging the drum until the message is received or until our arms grow tired.

FWIW, other chapter heads appear to be jumping on the bandwagon as well. Strength in numbers.

If positive change comes about from your local board's unified effort, then I consider it progress. If no positive change takes place, well, that sends another clear message, does it not?

Our future actions will be determined by what occurs when we reach those crossroads.

Default Best of luck to you sir...

I assure you, I have had plenty of direct BTDT with the N-BOD several years ago. It took a long time for many to realize that my friendships were separate from my expectations of fairness from any board member. A long and exhausting road to travel. I hope you all are more successful at a collective intervention today, than I was as a lone-rogue ascribed-ranger in the day.

I also learned with my more recent reconnects at AC^4, good people sharing enthusiasm can eclipse a lot of symptoms to some of Nationals unresolved issues. My best hope is that the future record of National in historical context, is less fettered with perceptions of continual controversies.

Bill, I saw your chilly reception over at the Rocky Mountain Chapter. I have confidence that is a temporary state of affairs, and predict occasional visits over there could prove quite entertaining soon.

Cheers

Default And the bigget thanks to Bill for....

I've advocated for years that all Audi forums can accommodate ACNA leadership discussion and responses as part of the AW daily blog and drivel... I commend you and your own AC^4 BOD for taking on that challenge on the Chicago Forum straight up. You boys have clearly demonstrated, it's not only possible to make this work, but also be able to clearly differentiate between proper AW public content and private time of an individual dissenter.

This philosophy clearly benefits the club at all levels, directly addresses the perception issues of the club activities, and sets a model standard I challenge any other Audi forum to meet.

Good show men.
