Default There are lots of alternatives. If I got the Recaro, then I could only afford one.

The wife and I share the driving the kids around duties, so I need multiple seats. The seats are a PITA to take in and out often. So I got the nice Gracos for around $75. I have 4 of them, which includes both of my parents cars. The seats I got are good from the time the kid graduates from an infant unit to 80 or 100lbs. Another thing to consider about fancy seats is messing them up. Somehow I don't care if the kids make a mess out of the less expensive ones. Mine have had milk stains, tons of crumbs, spit up, and even the horrors of diaper leaks. When I am all done with these, I plan to give them away to the local fire dept so they can give them to families who can't afford them.

Default all good points....

the last thing i would want to do is spend $300 on a recaro seat and have it get trashed.

i rather too get 2-3 $75 ones and be done with them with the kid(s) are bigger.

what model graco did you go?

Default good point on the mess factor...... I have been lucky so far... although she is still

young and not into her terror age yet she has been a very clean/ non-leaking baby! :-) and when she does become that baby(which I hope she wont) she will be riding in mommy's car mostly!

Default The best is when she shakes the milk bottle and tells me she's all done.

The back seat gets spattered with white dots. She doesn't do that any more. For a while it looked like someone got lucky back there and I was pretty sure it wasn't me.

Put one on the back side of the front seats too. I've got dirty footprints on mine.
