note to self: bleed new brakes with cheap fluid first /then/ use motul

ran two bottles of motul 600 through the new stoptechs with the motive bleeder but the pedal just sinks to the floor and does absolutely nothing. if i pump it about 3-5 times it will tighten up and grab hard right after that, but then fades away a few seconds later and i need to pump them again before the next stop.
i'm hoping it's just air lodged in there somewhere, so i'll bleed them again a few more times tomorrow. i wish i hadn't used the motul first, now i have to bleed with whatever crap i can find at autozone tomorrow, then pick up some more motul next week at northstar motorsports and do it again.
is ATE the fluid that has red and blue versions so you can easily see what's old fluid and what's new? anyone run that or should i just stick with motul 600?

i was worried about caliper clearance since the fitment chart was a very tight fit. but after i put the wheel on i remembered how little clearance i had on the 332mm kit on my old a4 with the 18" superleggeras. i drove around and the wheels didn't rip the stoptech logos off, so i guess i'm ok.

silly thing is that the stock r32 calipers are all blue, so i have red calipers up front and blue in the back now. guess i'll have to paint the rears with some of that g2 caliper paint.

the motul overall. i did my brakes a few weeks ago and did it with valvoline fluid. Sucked at ABCC. I want to get that out of there and get the motul in. I think you have it right. Bleed it out, then get the motul in, its the best IMHO.

Your car may have a 2 bar master cylinder on it. What year is it and can you take a pic of the master cylinder reservoir for me? I have ran into a few cars (including my own) with a 2 bar system that would have a crappy pedal untill it was bled at 2 bar with the pressure bleeder. Show me a top and side shot of the master and I'll see if I can't tell you for sure.
