ok, if I'm going out with you guys in the city, my lovely bride is a bit concerned where I will be..
staying, I need a hotel downtown, not to expensive ( we are not talking the Palmer house here), to stay, I will need to make reservations soon, so thanks in advance

Good woman to be watching out for you. If you just need a place to crash then just stay at a
Days Inn either at Diversey or on Lincoln. Nothing to look at but clean rooms and a cheap place to crash for the night. Close to the Lincoln Park bar area too. You can leave your car in my neighborhood. Safe on the street.

Lock in on Lincoln/Armitage/Sedgwick. That's close enough. 2000 North, 300 West.
The closest place is a Days Inn at Lincoln and Clark at the end of Wells. There are certainly nicer, but short cab rides away.
