that has got to be one expensive part, at least I would think it would be.
I just think that getting one from a TT that has maybe front end damage, or one that someone just gave up on for whatever reason, would be the way to go, not that I want to be cheap, but I would obviously like to spend my money wisely.
So you really think it would be best to go through you and get it done at a dealer? Or should I just get the part through you and get it done by Al @ CPT?
I guess I am confused, once again, by what you are saying I should do.

I have no idea how much a new unit is as I have never seen one fail. I also have nothing to do with parts prices and they don't effect my paycheck at all so I never pay attention to how much anything is. That being said, I'm sure the part is expensive, how expensive, I have no idea. You would need to call and get a price from the parts department. They could also give you an idea on how long it would take to get the part. I am not telling you were to take your car, but you should consider your options carefully as this is not a 20 dollar cupholder we're talking about. Inquire about how long of a warranty you will have on this type of work. Is there another place in the country that can cover it if you are traveling, etc. Who is covering the labor if your get a defective part at the beginning and it has to be done again? These are things to think about. Good luck.

We'll cover you some other time. So if your rear diff doesn't work and you don't have ESP, how come you failed to light the front tires at the auto-x start line in the wet. I think your problem is misdiagnosed. I think you are wasting your time chasing this.
