Default The Reese Erlain Foundation

Heading into the holiday this year, we've all got a lot to be thankful for, none the least of which is family and health.

A good friend and member of the Chicago Audi Club was recently delivered some difficult news about his new baby girl. You may remember THIS post where Tony shared his joy of being the proud new father of a beautiful daughter, Reese.

Now just a few months old, Reese was recently diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). She is responding well to treatment, but the family faces a long and *very* expensive journey back to restore little Reese's health. The REESE ERLAIN FOUNDATION has been established to help them with their medical costs.

As you head into the holiday and think about all that you have to be thankful for, if you could provide anything to help Tony, Kelly, and little Reese with their burden, it would be greatly appreciated.

THE REESE ERLAIN FOUNDATION

Default Let's find a way to do a fundraiser

I've been amazed by my inability to shake this situation from my head (guess that shouldn't be surprising, but I've been REALLY bothered by it). There hasn't been a day that's gone by that I haven't found myself thinking about Reese, Tony and Kelly.
Best of luck to them and God Bless.

Sorry to hear. So sad when babies are sick. Health insurance not paying for leukemia?

Default It looks like something is already in the works on their events page.

I think we should get behind it and make it a huge sucess. I would like to volunteer time and money to the cause.

Default Even if covered by insurance, long-term costly treatment like this

could drain most budgets. And there may be coverage limits as well. Also unknown is if one of the Parents has had to take unpaid leave from their job.

Always a lot more under the surface and unfortunately I know quite a bit about it due to direct experience.

Default So true....

I give my kids an extra hard squeeze every night and tell em' that I love em.

I just can't fathom something like this.

Default Just wondering. Have had similar circumstances in my family and insurance has been exceptionally

good.

Cousin died at 8 of a brain tumor that was fought for years. Mother has spine issues that have required major surgery, as well as being lifetime diabetic.

Aunt had kidney transplant with dialysis for years.

Even been laid up for about seven months myself due to injuries from accident(s).

I didn't think of the parent having to stay home part of this, which obviously could be a huge loss of income.

The rest I relate to per our experiences.
