Default actually, the unit died, and while the mental giants at ipass took some arguing...

I got them to mail me a new one, no deposit necessary. Since it broke they told me I HAD to drive down to the iPass building during business hours to get a new one... They said if it had been stolen, they would ship me a new one, but since it BROKE, I had to take time off work... I finally made it to a manger that apologized and sent me a new one ASAP. Done.

But I wouldn't expect to get the money back. Vanity evidently costs $10.

And it worked for quite a while after I painted it, I don't think the paint caused the demise.

Default meh...mine stays in the glovebox

for the split second that i need it (i.e. when i am actually going under an i-pass) i just grab it and hold it in my hand, then toss it back in. Takes a couple seconds to bring out but since i only need it about twice every week, it works fine. The thing might even work from within the glovebox but i havent tried it (i know it works without being perfectly against the glass since i never hold it quite there)

In loaner cars, it works just sitting on the center console if you're not going too fast.
