Taking a group to Chicago Indoor Racing - Is it a fun place?
It will only be my team from work and we will be the only ones on the track with a total of 6 karts.
Will this be fun for good drivers, as well as bad drivers?

CIR is sweet. I've run in at least 5 enduros so far and various other events. You guys should all really enjoy it.
Those little Bowman karts with 200cc Hondas are much quicker than they look... especially when you're on the business end of one. If you've never karted before get ready for a workout! How much track time are you guys getting and on what track config. are you running?
Our last event was a 200 lap enduro on the combined track... running in the opposite direction=w00t!

A good idea for you...
Set-up an endurance race! Its so easy to do... and, imo, is way more fun than just hot-lapping.
Do a blind draw into teams of 3 or 4... this way slower drivers might still be able to contribute to a winning effort. Mandate the number of stops/driver changes and just go ***** out for an hour. Whichever team completes the most number of laps in an hour, wins... and gets to talk trash back at the office
