Default to those who have gone to Wheels America, do you think they can do this? Opinions needed...

been thinking of doing this for quite some time with my GT3s. i cant decide if the flat black or hyper black (shiny) finish would look better.

any idea if wheels america can do either of these looks? i havent been there yet, but thinking about it.

some pics for reference:

Default i really rather not do gun-metal. for some reason i just dont like the look...

i really would rather go straight black. but the question is the black finish he has, or a shiny black is the question.

hmmmm

Default more pics, but i think both of these have "shiny" black centers?

notice one thing: the bolts/rivets are actually still polished, but the centers are only black. which i kinda like.

Default Same Dilemma

I just purchased a B5 S4 (6 weeks ago) and I recieved an extra set of 17" Mille Miglia Actions with curb rash. I am in the process of refinishing them for powder coat. I dont know whether to go with shiny or flat black. My car is Brilliant Black...I heard that with "Shiny" black the tires will always look dirty. I would like to hear what you end up doing (w/pics).

On a seperate note, I was at the Tire Rack for the first AutoX of the ACCCC season. Had a blast and I cant wait until the next event at the Tire Rack.

Cheers,

Default Absolutely! When I was up there recently, they were showing me some o

of the wheels they'd done recently- Hyper silver, hyper black. Looked really nice. Give 'em a call and run up to see some of their work. will run you $129 per wheel.

Default They definitely can . . . make sure to go powerdercoated vs. painted.

I had my Volks refinished here:

Chicago Wheel Service
1500 Midway Court
Elk Grove Village, IL

It took them a little longer to do, and they were a little more expensive than Wheels America, but their attention to detail and top-notch work was well worth the price.
