i spotted it the last time i checked every nm of the track with my interferometer.

There are car pass throughs to pull broken down cars out, but you can't really get to them from off track (except via a few gates that are locked or manned).

The story simply was not accurate (not Luke, the writer).
The drunk had paid in advance and had a touring decal on his windshield. They don't have a breathalizer at the track edge, hence he made it out.
Could happen at any track. They had over 200 ferraris, 300 NSX's, countless cadillacs and vettes as well, all mostly in their own touring groups.
If you get joy and ego boost out of picking on me for saying I know ever inch of the track, which is a commonly used phrase, or for asserting the opinions of pros as to the Carrera GT, go ahead.
What I have written is factual. I cannot help it if the facts bother you, or if you find it necessary to make light of them.

My point was simply that the article was inaccurate, as the guy entered the track appropriately and by the normal means, the main gate at turn five.
