some developer (perhaps the same developer) would create a version exclusive to the iPhone 3G that utilizes not only the 3-axis accelerometer but also the iPhone 3G's built-in GPS to log on-track telemetry turn-by-turn for later analysis on the computer and perhaps even have the option to transmit the data real-time to a web server should the need arise

I can definetly say this has worse reception than any phone i've had in the last 3yrs...
but it still doesn't sway me to not loving the iphone. The call quality is far superior than than any phone I've had besides a Sprint line, back in 2001.
The simple fact that I can call people from my iPod makes it worth it.
