My car is a 2004 Audi S4 and I live in Evanston, IL. I ordered Labree downpipes on Friday last week and can hardly wait to install them...they should be in a week or two.

I still need to get Illinois plates because I just moved here from Florida. Will I have to get the car inspected before I can get plates? Don't want to fail smog testing... Anyone that can help me understand how things work in Illinois would be appreciated. If the state is strict, I may wait until I after I get the plates before I get the downpipes installed.

there is no Illinois inspection program......emission testing occurs after you've gotten your IL tag

Al at CPT, Irshad at GRD and others. In fact GRD has Labree downpipes on their S4 that they just put a fresh engine in. Can't saw for sure how much though.

Al at CPT does good work, so does GRD, they did an exhaust for a buddy of mine.

Good to know...still not clear on when they do test emissions- is there a schedule I can refer to?
