what is safe tint % all around so cops don't make an issue about it?
I'd like to tint mine and i don't like more tint in the back. I'd like to keep them the same all around (except the windshield)

35% around for me, however cops have mentioned something about it the few times...
i have been pulled over for other reasons.
got pulled over twice for the windows themselves but was let off.

Rear and back windows - anything you want
Fronts - none if you don't want to be hassled.
I'm getting 35% all around on Monday. I figure I will get 1-4 tint tickets in the next 4 years.
I like the look of dark tint, but I don't think it's very practicle. 35% is good for visibility, look and to keep it cooler in the summer.

I have 35% all around and I get tix occasioanlly whne parked in high ticket areas like
Gold Coast/Mag Mile, around the museums, parks, etc. I've got pulled over once for that, speeding, and no front plate...but I got out of that one....and it was in the burbs.

the flashy Z is what got you pulled over... not the tint...
they thought you were Paul Walker from the Fast & the Furious... :-) all joking aside, when I had my "arrest me red" Dakota R/T I was pulled over left and right for my tint. in my S4 maybe once a year but that was because I was sitting next to the cop and he had nothing better to do.. Once in the GTI but I have a feeling it will be more frequent now that the hood and wheels are flat black. the more the car stands out the more they pay attention.
