Default Where could I find new front rotors and brakes in the area for a decent price? Details inside...

I'm in the process of gearing my car up for the May 31 - June 1, 2008 Autobahn Country Club Trackdaze event, and I'd like to get some new rotors and brake pads tomorrow if at all possible. Are there any shops in the area where I could pick up some good quality pads/rotors for a decent price? (Other than GRD)

For reference, I'm from the naperville area, but i'll drive pretty much anywhere.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Default Did you try the local Chevy dealer?

Details on your car and brake setup would help too.

Re: My bad it's a 1999 A4 1.8TQ. Isn't there an Audi part dealer located somewhere in IL/IN?

You should really come to an Audi Club event first.

Default The Tire Rack is a great place to start......

Talk to Luke. He can guide you to the right equipment. In all honesty, OEM is more than adequate. (lets go on the assumption that you truly need pads and rotors). These events are all about car control. You aren't going to "win" and you won't be bombing into a corner 3-wide and braking at the last second.

So, if your pads are more than 50% and your rotors are within spec, you will be just fine. I do recommend a good brake fluid flush.

Like Gription said, you really should come to and Audi Club event first. With that said, there will be a few club instructors at the Track Daze event, so we will keep you safe and give you excellent instruction.

Next Sat/Sun is going to be a bunch of fun; I dare to say, the Audi Club event might be more fun.

Default Is this the most classic piece of advice coming from you??

"You aren't going to "win" and you won't be bombing into a corner 3-wide and braking at the last second".

Default Note to self: When the "yellow" car laps you for the 3rd time in the same session, dont lift. Check!

I'm older and wiser now. heh.
