Where the heck is my Secondary air pump?

Default well from what I understand...
the RS4 along with tip cars have secondary air pumps. The pump is used to help heat the precats on startup. The pump is only used for 30 seconds or so. Now if ones car has no cats then why have the system. Also they are some $500 or so to replace when broken (siren noise). That is why I asked.

Default Not only do they shrink, but they also disintegrate in random spots. Best thing to do is check all
the lines (and probably just replace them- it's not very difficult and it's cheeep, to boot).

Default Yes, but without a change in the ECm you will have fault codes....
As the car will be looking for something no longer there.

yeah, I can live with fault codes. Already have one for the ESP, which I dont have.

Default You only need to get it to attach to the solenoid again.

Default I fixed it!
Thanks to all for the input.

It was the vacuum line into the drivers side combi valve, and my N80.
