Default Too long a drive for a day's skiing. If you want to pop up to Whistler/Blackcomb you'll need to be

at my house Friday afternoon. It can be a 3.5 hours drive in the winter. BTW ... Blackcomb is the better terrain

Default I have only been there in the summer

I have yet to make it up there for winter skiing, only for glacier skiing and downhill Mt. Biking.

Default Great area . .winter or summer. There's some pretty good fly fishing around there too.

My all time favorite Western area is Mt Bachelor. They get over 320 days a year of sun. It tends to get fresh snow at night leaving the days sunny. The area is huge, teh staff friendly and genuinely concerned that you are having a great time. The area encompasses over 270 degrees of the main peak. Nearly every lift is a high speed quad and the terrain is varied and choice.

Once it loads, click on Summit in the right bar & then mouse over the MT.

Default Ermm this might be the Chicago board but some of us (those who like to pop on here from time to time

and pitch you midwest schmucks a little grief) are from different areas. I am in the Northwest corner of Washington
