Whose dad did I meet at Conway Farms G.C. with a 2.7A6 on S4 wheels??
I pulled up and parked and this guy started talking to me immediately as I was getting my clubs out of the back with car still idling.
He said, "My son has one of those. He's got the pipes, the downpipes, the chip....Do you have a chip? What chip do you have?"
Me: "APR"
Him: "Yeah, my son used to have an APR chip, but he ordered something else. He also just ordered one of the BIG (used hand motions to show me it was big) Intercooler for the front. Did you any of that that stuff?"
Me: "Yeah, I've got all the pipes and bigger turbos..."
Him: "The KO4s, right?"
Me: "Yeah. (Me pointing at his A6) Hey, it looks like you stole his wheels?"
Him: "Yup. Dad's got the son's hand-me-downs. Are you always on those Audi Message Boards?"
Me: "Yeah"
Him: (Shaking head) "Yeah, those things are fast as hell"
Me: "Yeah, they sure are"
Then we said bye and have a nice day and went on our way. Wish I had a dad like that. Seemed like a real cool guy.
