I don't blame the umps. Bad calls all the time. Sox kicked their asses. Good for them.

Default c'mon now... no excuses. Bad calls happen all the time. Some go your way, some don't.

Granted I'll give you that called out at first base. Your guy was safe by a mile and the ump blew that call. But one could argue that there were some questionable pitches called as ***** that easily should have been strikes when Buehrle and Linebrink were pitching. In the end it all evens out. The Cubs had their chances at some big innings and couldn't capitalize.

The Sox did some really smart things to win this series... like finding a weakness and pitching inside to Ramirez and taking him out of the offense all weekend. That was good scouting by the coaching staff, and awesome execution by Buehrle.

They split the series and each team won at home as they should have. That was the best a fan of either team should have expected and hoped for. Now both teams can get back to taking care of business in their own divisions.

Cheers to both teams... this is the best summer we've all had as Chicago baseball fans in a loooong time. No matter which team you root for, enjoy the ride.
