Ugh..
I bought my S4 at McGrath (in Glenview) in May of this year (2003), and have taken it there for one service. The sale was OK (well, as OK as any car sale goes), but the service was quite shocking.
My major beef was that one of my foglights is cracked .. it's very obviously cracked, and it's evident from 10 feet away from the car. When I picked it up they claimed that it wasn't broken. I decided that I would not to return, but take it to Highland Park instead.
You mention that they have improved since Acura left (which makes a lot of sense), so I will try them again (it's in a very convenient location for me). I'm due for another service soon, so I'm curious to see how it goes.

As you may know, Hwy. 41 is a divided highway, and since the new Audi Exchange is on the West side of the road, the only convenient approach is from the North. Otherwise, you have to go well past it before making an inconvenient u-turn to get back.
Why they'd locate there (they also put their Saab operation farther North on the same road) is a mystery to me.

Isn't the new dealership just south of Half Day on the west side of the road? It's easy to approach from the south, exit at Half Day, turn around at the light and get back on 41. Am I wrong?

and the strip mall next door has a dry cleaners in it, so the hazmat cleanup on that would have cost almost as much as the building... so there were no expansion options at the present location...
they hated telling people they had to drive up to the warehouse to test drive a car...

It's just too far of a drive for me to get my oil changed. I really like the Exchange so I don't mind driving all the way up there to buy my cars when I have another dealer 5 miles from my house.

Is there any salesperson at the Exchange that you prefer to work with?
