I want to share my bad experience with buying used Audi A4 B9 from Audi Zentrum Fulda Germany so others can watch out.
I was looking to update my B8 with B9. I'm not living in Germany but I have decided to buy a used car from official Audi dealership in Germany because Germany is home for Audi and they are world-wide popular with product and service quallity. So I start searching for car in their official website https://www.audi-boerse.de/ (you are redirected to here after clicking used-cars section in http://audi.de/) In this website Audi claims that they cars with "
lus" tag are "Intensively tested, therefore in excellent condition." (more info) I found a car that I liked and decide to buy it. This car was offered by Audi Zentrum Fulda so I contacted them. Steffen Mueller (steffen.mueller@atzert-weber.de) replied back and explained that the car is in perfect technical condition (as expected) and that there are minor cosmetic issues only. So even that this is an official Audi dealer I have trust issues so I required to take the car for inspection to DEKRA After receiving repot from DEKRA that everything is perfect with the car I bought it. A month later when I received the car the first thing was to take the car to my trusted local car service. After getting the car on stand we found out the following issues:
- Very bad oil leak from the rear right shock
- Blown up engine mounting
- Oil leak from the gearbox
Here is a video from the serviice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWZC...ature=youtu.be
I immediately send the vide to Steffen Mueller from Audi Fulda to show them the issues and ask them to pay for the repair. He told me that "This is normal condition for used car and the problems are not related with the safe usage of the car". According to their website and "
lus" program this is not true. This is neither a normal condition for used car nor car safe for use.
DON'T TRUST https://www.atzert-weber.de/ and https://www.audi.de/ for used cars !
People that was lying and involved are:
- https://www.audi.de/ - for marketing used cars in excellent condition which is not correct
- https://www.audi-boerse.de/ - this is the official website for used cars of audi.de so the same reason as above
- Steffen Mueller (steffen.mueller@atzert-weber.de representative of the official Audi Fulda dealership https://www.atzert-weber.de/) - lying and selling cars with obvious problems. You don't need a special tools or skills to find this problems. So there is no excuse for not mentioning the while selling
- DEKRA (https://www.dekra.com/en/home/) - not able to find very obvious problems that don't request special tools or skills to find
I hope that this will help someone,
Cheers
