Default Conejo Group/SoCal drive on Saturday March 10th...

Meet at 10:00am in front of the Starbucks Coffee at the Commons at Calabasas. This is just going to be a nice warm-up drive for the season, we'll probably drive through the hills and along the coast to Camarillo for Lunch, and then back through T.O. Email me for any more info. Location is below.

Default Here are directions and maps...

The Calabasas Commons is located just off the south side of the 101 Ventura Freeway between the Mulholland/Valley Circle and Parkway Calabasas exits. Starbucks Coffee is located at the NE corner of the commons, nearest to the corner of Calabasas Road and Park Granada. We may not be parked DIRECTLY in front of Starbucks as to allow enough space for all the cars. LOOK AROUND for the Audis! From Los Angeles take either:

1. The Mulholland/Valley circle exit and turn left over the freeway. Then take the first right on Calabasas Rd. Continue on Calabasas and turn L on Park Granada. Then turn R at the first light into the commons. Starbucks will be to your immediate right.

2. The Parkway Calabasas exit and turn L onto the frontage road and then L imedietely again onto Parkway Calabasas over the freeway. Turn L onto Calabasas Rd. and R onto Park Granada. Then turn R at the first light into the commons. Starbucks will be to your immediate right.

If coming from Agoura/Ventura County:

Take the Parkway Calabasas exit and turn L onto Calabasas Rd. continue past Parkway Calabasas and R onto Park Granada. Then turn R at the first light into the commons. Starbucks will be to your immediate right.

Remember, 10am sharp! With a bit of chit-chat, we should be rolling by 10:15. Try and plan to be there a few minutes early if you want to grab a coffee or snack first. I'll try and be there no later than 9:45. Email me if you want my cell# in case you're running late. But if you're just falling out of bed at 9:55 and think we'll all wait (you know who you are!), you'll just have to catch up on your own! BTW, if you have Talkabouts, please bring them. The canyon roads are NOT cell friendly.

Finally, a little word about driving. With the recent weather a lot of the canyon and beach roads are not exactly in their best shape. For that reason we will be out on this drive for the SCENERY this time, Capiche? Even roads you think you know well are a different creature with dirt and newly formed springs running accross them. Centerline violations and agressive driving are severly discouraged and may be grounds to be asked to leave the drive, and possibly future events as well. This year there will hopefully be some actual club track days for those who want to dig into their cars limit with other Audi drivers. The scenic drives will no longer be an appropriate outlet for those Frank Biella fantasies! As some of you may have followed from the recent Boxter club Malibu run, even the CHP and local authorities are scanning news groups and forums for "events" in the area, let's not give them anything to complain about. If there is enough turnout we may even split into two (or more) run groups, so as to lessen the impact on the local residents. From now on the drives are going to be more social events for club members to get out, enjoy the cameraderie with fellow Audi enthusiasts, and have a great time.

Default I'm off to Mammoth in a couple hours.... bummer.

But after last Saturdays 110%... 45 minute straight... sideways adventure through the canyons of Malibu and Westlake... I'm full! Now I need to do the same thing on my snowboard for a couple days... hahahahaha

You guys have a great time! And please be safer than we were last week. hint... go earlier!
