We are trying to get as many people out to this event, by car or airplane. This will have a vacation type atmosphere, so anything goes. :thumbup: We setup a group rate discount for the Host Hotel as well as a few Local Caravans. :P I would really like for you guys to come out. Please let me know. We can coordinate caravans from your area, so we all roll up together.

It's more of an invitation to come out and hang out. Basically take over Big Bear with German made cars. There is no competition, just a spirited drive on the Rim of the World Highway to Big Bear. Our Host Hotel is across the street from the Big Bear Lake 39th Annual Oktoberfest in the Big Bear Lake Convention Center. There we can set up camp, play some drinking games before walking to the convention center. It's $12 to get in and there will be contests, music, vendors, etc that is all Oktoberfest. After a night of partying and around checkout time. We'll take a cruise around the lake and stop at a restaurant for brunch and a little show and shine.

Hello Everyone,

I just got back from Big Bear this past weekend and I have exciting news for everyone who
are staying the entire weekend for Oktoberfest or who are driving up for the Show & Shine
on Sunday, October 25th. :thumbup:

Even though the Group Rate at the Host Hotel has expired, you can STILL BOOK A ROOM
at the host hotel. Out of 120 rooms, we have booked close to 30 rooms. And according
to the hotel as of 09/26, there are 20 rooms still available.
So please don't wait. Let's try to get the last 20 rooms. :P

On Sunday, October 25th 2009, we will meet up at the Big Bear Discovery Center
parking lot at 11:45am. Then depart at 12:30pm from the Discovery Center as
we drive around the North Shore of the lake until we get to Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain at 1pm.

Alpine Slide has reserved us enough room to host all the cars who are coming from Oktoberfest.
They are known for their Alpine Slide, Waterslide (closed), Gocarts and other activities.
In the parking lot of Alpine Slide, we can park our cars and hang out. Inside the venue, we
will be doing a "People Choice" awards (similar to Eurosport's Dyno Day and Dubfest L.A.)
but instead of plastic trophies, we have 12 shot glass Das Boots. That's 12 fun categories
for anyone to win. (1 per winner). The trophies will be announced at 3pm.

After 3:30pm, we go home as a group. :P
