No. You're wrong and I'll tell you why. :-)
Your point is fine if everyone just respond to your post. But once people start replying to posts within your post, things get complicated and hard to follow. You can't tell who is saying what to whom, and the thread becomes filled with anoying cut-and-pastes you've read ten times already.
I can glance at this thread, and get a good idea of what's happening within it, who said what to whom, and if I wan't to join in.Think about what it would look like in another format.
As far as posting pictures and the like, sure it could be easier, but that's a separate issue.
