I think is was a lame infomercial and I really don't care. The forum needs money to operate.

Default How about an article that doesn't pretend to be what it isn't and doesn't insult my intelligence.

That would be a start. Tall order on AW these days, I know.

Default My beef is the waste of time and the false pretense of being a real article.

I know, I should get used to the fact that for some people there are no standards that can't be compromised for a buck. I'll learn.

Default LOL

It's great that you chose to post an advertisement pretending to be a post, in the context of a thread about an informercial pretending to be an article. Excellent. LOL.

I hear you. It was written up the way it happened. It was a professional detailing job, and I'll take the heat if I didn't get all the infinite details. I do think it compared to some of the posts in the detailing forum - basically a summary of the steps and products. Not every article has to be perfectly technical and non-lifestyle.

Again I'll admit it was part infomercial, but I'm OK with that. If you don't like it then don't read it. I did get some e-mail from folks who said they enjoyed it. To each their own.

BTW if you were at Waterfest then you would probably agree the car looked amazing. That is an undeniable fact.

I can't exactly understand your hostility on this one.

Default Well you may be interested to know...

...that I rarely visit the AW home page, but for whatever reason I did this particular time. So I saw the S4 detailing article and decided to read it. Had the content been more substantive, you likely would have had me as a repeat visitor to the home page. As it turned out, I now know that I haven't been missing anything by by-passing the home page, and will continue to do so. I figure a Managing Editor might consider that useful information. Of course, just tell yourself I'm not representative.

I listen to all feedback with great interest. Hint to you: lower the bitter sarcasm a few notches and it might make your argument stronger.
