I think anything else would be too hard to monitor and police

You need to watch out for the scam artists.

But there are 0ther forums that have it.

but it would be a little uncontrolled.

and there would be competition with some of the advertisers too.

You failed to mention that this is a free site. Where do you expect us to make revenue from? And why should a potential seller be able to connect with (monetize) a huge Audi population for free?

Yes it is commercial in nature, but it is also a control issue. It is both.
