Raced the M3 this weekend at the NASA Sebring event and had a great time. I threw together a 1 lap video from my qualifying session on Sunday. Just got a 3" straight pipe and it sounds mean on the track. I set a new personal best this weekend of 2:29.95 beating my previous best by almost 5 seconds.

http://www.audiclubfl.com/Videos/Sebring1lap.bp.1mb.wmv</a

Just kidding, that's a great time...got me by at least 5/6 seconds. Sean Tillinghast holds the IP record with a 2:27:4 at winterfest this year. Sean is a helluva driver, anything around 2:30 is very fast in an M3.
Nice video, I like all the graphics you attached to it. What kind of tires are you on now? If you turned that time on anything but Hoosiers that is fast indeed.
My best is around 2:37 but that's in street car trim. I will be at winterfest next year and I hope to get down about where you're at.
Here's a little race car ****.

My 29 was during the race on 5th heat cycle. I have been getting 10-12 heat cycles out of the tires (2 weekends w/practice, qualifing and race). Still bone stock on the motor with 121K miles.

The 2:27:4 that Sean got was on Hoosiers (slicks aren't legal in 'prepared'). Hoosiers are pretty much the fastest DOT race tires you can get. They're probably 2 seconds a lap faster around Sebring than Toyos are.

I turned a 2:28.2 in the formula dodges as my fast lap a few months ago. Looks like a fun car, hopefully more reliable than some other E36 M3s you and I have driven...
How'd you do in the races?
