Anybody ever been to Waldo, Florida
I was watching a show on the travel channel about speed traps, and there was a segment that AAA south, said waldo florida is the number one spot for speed traps. the only crime there is speeding cuz you have to slow down from 65 mph to about 25mph
in a few hundred feet.. city limits.. and of course the cop is sitting right ont he end of the city limit so he can ticket you.. should really be made illegal,but if you look at he city of Waldo, you kinda feel bad for the people and see why they need that trap to survive..

take it to court, they won't show up. heck you don't even have to show up. my wife got a bs ticket there for being under the school zone sign when the light came on...30 in a 15 (due to school zone). and she thought she was going 5 below the posted 35mph speed limit. cop was a dick, she got a court date, but she couldn't make it. sent a check and a couple weeks later we got the check back because the COP didn't show up. that's right no-one showed up and we got our money back. apparently the 30 minute trip to gainesville isn't worth their time. most tickets given are for 5-10 over.
i putt through there. about 50% of the time i drive there i see a cop and i drive through it a lot headed up to jax.
the speed fluctuation is not nearly as bad as it is just north of there in starke, and the cops are not nearly the dicks.
honestly lawtey is worse than anything else in terms of traps, but you need do be clipping pretty fast through there before they will start the light show.
