Anybody know any good beaches to visit about half-way between Orlando and Tallahassee?
Trying to set up a weekend getaway with this grad student I know at FSU.

Due South of Tallahassee there are some real nice beaches. The panhandle is the place to be for nice beaches on the Western side of Florida.

unfortunately, the big bend has no beaches
There's one south of Tally, but it's not great, and then there's St. Pete, but it's not close to Tally either. Once you get North of Clearwater, you're somewhat SOL for beaches until you get to Panama City.
You could go to Tarpon Springs and see the Greek sights, or Homosassa and things like that, but it's not a true beach experience.
