Anyone in the market for a 4 door porsche...

Re: If I had the $$$ - I'd take one with a V8.
I absolutely love the A6 (styling, interior, features, build quality, performance, etc) but the depreciation is pretty severe. My A6 4.2 'S'line's value is dropping faster than my Cayenne 'S'. Both were about the same price new, but the A6's value trails with similar mileage. I am finding for re-sale I'd rather have another Porsche, if I had to do it again.
I'd take Porsche 'Panamerica' sedan in a heartbeat - (less the 100k pricetag) I am sure it will be be quick, sporty, and have some great P-Car technology, and it will sound like Porsche.
I'll bet the skin will be cleaned up by production time.

Agree. The Porsche is vulgar and overdone.
It's almost as if the designers were so hung up on the car being a sedan that they went out of their way to stuff every Porsche design artifact into it with no regard for overall presentation.
Blech.

I would disagree with your second comment...
It is almost as if the designers were so hung up on the car LOOKING LIKE A REAR ENGINE 911 that they went out of their way to make it ugly.
A 4 door 911 would not be a good looking car, so why did they try and make it look so? That is what screwed up the Cayenne in my opinion; they tried to morph a 911 front end on a huge truck.

Exactly... Both are basically stretched coupes...
The DB9/Vanquish's lines and the fact it's front engine lend itself to being stretched. The 911 just doesn't have the lines to be stretched and the fact the engine in the rear makes it even worse. It looks like a 4 door 911 hatchback... a hatchback I mean WTF?
The Ferrari 456 was another 2+2 that was turned into a sedan and looked decent, but again that was a front engine coupe. Though I actually think the wagon version looks the best.
