going to a meeting/convention for 5 days there. anything good to see/do nearby during my free time? is there a 'restaurant row' or 'nightlife quarter' or some such in the area?
already planning some golf; and hopefully the local beaches are decent? TIA.

It's a retirement home essentially. You have the Hard Rock Casino down the street at Stirling and 441. Downtown Hollywood has some decent restaurants. I love Sushi Blues personally! When I come home for Thanksgiving break that will be my first stop ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Where are you staying?
Oh yeah and aside from that you're best off heading to Miami/South Beach or Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas for night life. That leads to why I like Hollywood, central location. It's 15 minutes to go anywhere good.

it's called Sushi Blues Cafe and the owner is American. The restaurant while serving sushi also has American meals like burgers and the like. Later at night it becomes like a blues cafe and they have live jazz type music. My parents are sort of early eaters so we've never had food late enough to be there for that.
Anyway I really enjoy their sushi though. They have a seared tuna apateizer that I love with a champagne vinagarette sauce on it that is just so good!
If you know where Downtown Hollywood is you should be fine finding it. It's on Harrison Street, which is probably the most popular street down there, or at least it used to be.

I live off of Sheridan St. so we just go all the way down Sheridan to Dixie Highway. Turn right on to Dixie. Then turn left on to Harrison which comes up right after Hollywood Blvd. The restaurant is on your right and the parking isn't so good, but there is a parking garage off to the right. After you pass the restaurant turn right at the traffic light and you'll see the garage.
