The f-ing gas pedal is too far away from the brake pedal, even under HEAVY braking, can't guite reach it. Must master (master is a bit strong, how about 'a practicing knowledge of') heal/toe in this car before my next track event.

I have ABT pedals in my car.. I can HT pretty decent.. Size 12 shoes help :-)
Never tried it with regular pedals in the early A4's. The new A4's have not-so-great pedal setup for HT'in.

No kidding. I've tried everything, and my foot just won't bend that way. I managed a decent h/t down shift on the way home from work, but I really had to slide the ball of my foot up the brake pedal to get better placement on the gas pedal, and I was on the brakes HARD, hehehe, oops. Almost need Veronica's heels!

I heard audi made the gas pedal so small because
of the "unintended acceleration" debacle of the mid '80s. It seems like if you can tilt your right foot about 40 degrees to the left you could probably pull it off with stock pedals. I know it sounds painful but I plan to work on it before the next event. There's always after market pedals but I don't car how most look.

I have the Oet pedals but I want to reshape the brake arm so they aren't installed yet.
It takes some getting used to but is totally doable. I'm only a size 10. I sometimes slip but only when wearing dress shoes because they are more narrow.
