Audi Club of Florida Monthly Update: January 2008
Upcoming Events!
1/12: Central Florida Monthly Meeting
We will be continuing our regular monthly meeting schedule (2nd Saturday of each month) at Old Germany. The meeting will begin at 2:00pm. Come on out for some good food, great conversation, and to meet some really great Audi Folks.

1/17: VW/Audi Annual "Super Sale" auction event
"VW Credit, Inc. (VCI) holds an annual "Super Sale" auction event at the Manheim Central Florida Auto Auction in Orlando. Each year the sale is attended by 300-400 dealers. The evening prior to the sale, the auction hosts a party with good food, games and prizes following a theme. In the past our themes have been football, racing, the movies, etc.
This year, we would like to focus the attention on cars, classic cars, by inviting local chapters of Volkswagen and Audi Owners Clubs to participate in the evening event by displaying your cars and joining in our other festivities. Attendees are all "car guys" who would love to talk shop with fellow VW and Audi enthusiasts in a festive environment surrounded by cars, music and food. There will be Volkswagen and Audi dealers, independent dealers, corporate Volkswagen and Audi of America colleagues, VCI and auction staff participating in this event.
We cordially invite your club to join us the evening of January 17th, 2008 with your vehicles at Manheim Central Florida Auto Auction, 9800 Bachman Rd., Orlando."

3/29-3/30: Roebling Road Audi Club Florida
Join the Audi Club North America Florida Chapter and Revo Technik at Roebling Road Raceway the weekend of March 29-30, 2008 for an exciting two-day Driving School. The 2.02-mile asphalt road course consisting of nine turns is located just 20 miles from beautiful historic downtown Savannah, Georgia.
Learning high performance driving in the relative safety of a closed track will add to your enjoyment of your Audi, as well as make you a better street driver. High performance driving in any car is all about learning to control the car, and not having the car control you. It is about concentration, vision, familiarity with your car, its responses to your inputs, and your reactions to its responses. It is NOT about racing, and this is NOT a racing school! Put your brain in a learning gear, and check the racing ego at the door. Remember that this school is about safety, control, and enjoying these great cars.
Registration fees are as follows:
Students: $299 ($350 after 2/29)
Instructors: $50 ($100 after 2/29)
Cancellations will be assessed a $50 fee. NO CANCELLATIONS AFTER MARCH 16, 2008.
