Boat rental in Ft Lauderdale - any recommendations?
I'm looking rent a boat for 8 of us from work, as part of our team building excercise. Dingy's need not apply. Any recommendations? Flexible hours would be a plus. Club Nautico and 15th St Boat Company are on my short list. Any other ones?
Thanks,
Cris

rental for full day or half day...
There will be about 8 of us... so, I'm thinking a 27' center console or similar, twin motor should be sufficient. Trying to keep budget down <$90pp.
Thanks!

Well, Club Nautico would work after looking at their website...
15th street boat company doesn't look so bad actually. The 270 outrage is a good boat, could fit 8 people. There's Pompano Boat rental at my Marina, but I think the biggest they have is a 23-25 foot deckboat, and I don't know about their prices. If you like what they have I get a discount at Pompano Boat rental, although I don't know how much of a discount.
There actually aren't a lot of choices to rent boats that size, so those three are what I'd recommend. Probably I'd say 15th street boat company looks good because of how good the Outrages are.

Yeah, I didn't realize there was a place in town that rented Whalers, and for decent prices too.
For rental that's actually decent, although if I were buying I'd go for a few brands over Whaler, as they're very overpriced in my opinion. I'd hit a yellowfin well before one of those. If the hurricane keeps tracking South I'm hoping to take the 36' Yellowfin to Lucaya this weekend.

Yeah.. it's a decent price to rent a Whaler...
I haven't seen the Yellowfins myself. My gf's dad just bought a Palmetto 33. From the look of it, I think they are comparable to the Yellowfins.

Don't know a lot about Palmetto's, but YF makes some of the best boats out there...
dry as can be, great ride, with optional fuel tanks a great range, and the one we use is a 36' Yellowfin with 3 x 250hp Verados, so it's fast as sin, and about 2mpg at cruise.
