Definitely get the book. Easier to work with while you're working on the car.

Default Can you print sections from the cd.
I had one cd manual for the old 5000 and it would not let you print sections from the cd.

Default you can print pdf's
coocoomike on the A4 forum has a website with the whole manual in pdf format.
