Default Changing brake fluid with Motiv power bleeder.

Is it safe to remove brake fluid with a Motiv? Basically I would attach the Motiv to the reservoir with no fluid inside, pump it up to 20psi and then open the bleed screws until no more brake fluid comes out. When it's all done, attach the Motiv with brake fluid this time and bleed as normal. Some dude at the track told me to do this but I'm not sure it's the right way to do it. To this point, I've been removing as much as I can from the reservoir, then bleeding the brakes with new fluid.

Default How much pressure are you using?

I'm using 20psi, as recommended and I don't think I'm damaging the reservoir.

Default No pressure gauge on the tank, so I don't know.

I pumped a hell of a lot of pressure in it though.

20 PSI is wayyyy too much.. I have a Motive, you only need 6-10psi max

Default 20PSI absolute maximum pressure you should ever use.

There are directions on their website.<ul><li><a href="http://www.motiveproducts.com/10instruct.html">http://www.motiveproducts.com/10instruct.html</a</li></ul>
