Default Clutch blues in Daytona. Moved here 2 weeks ago to go to school from Jersey and I think I need to...

find a place to replace my clutch.

I have a Spec 2 and feel vibration from the clutch pedal when I start the car or engage gears. I also hear a grinding noise at the same time.

Wierd thing is that this exact same thing happened about 5k miles ago and went away just a few days after it started. I bought a clutch and when I got it in the mail the noise/vibration had gone away so I now have an extra clutch.

Can I get away with using the same OEM FW? This will be it's 3rd clutch.

When my first clutch went bad, it would just slip. Is this new symptom a normal clutch wear problem?

Searches mention possible pressure plate or bearing problems. Hopefuly I'm not spending a fortune for the wrong fix.

Thanks

Default th slip feeling is very normal, I had to go through it last yr, but got custom clutch....

Kevlar both sides, and so far after 8K miles it feels great, no loss of response, feels just like after I changed it

Default do NOT go to Projekt 7, they pretty much screwed me over (more)

had them install my suspension system on my last car, they put the damned things in upside down and refused to fix it. Also triggered a CEL that never went away. Ride is kinda questionable to, that said I have not personal experience. Good luck

Default Park Ave Audi/VW in New Smyrna Beach.

They don't do much aftermarket stuff, but they are by far the best VW/Audi shop in the area. If you talk to Todd or Kristin, tell them Shane (Marcus's friend) sent you.

Got quoted about $600-$700. A bit more than I expected.

Paid $300 for my last one. $500 seems more fair..not cheap but fair in my opinion.

Default Are you going to Riddle? I haven't seen you around town yet.

I've heard good about Park ave. If you still are looking around let me know I might be able to get someone at the dealership i work at to do it for you cheaper.
