Drive by Wire almost causes a serious accident again!

i was gona ask you guys about it same thing i put it to the floor and it just does't go I have a triptronic are you guys noticing this too even in a 5 speed and call me dumb but i must ask what is DBW? and what can i do to get more response???? i almost died comming out of walmart today

It means drive-by-wire and it means instead of a cable connecting the pedal to the throttle, its connected via a computer, and a computer controls the throttle, and in Audi's case, it can be pretty horrendous in the way it interprets your acceleration.
In a DBW tiptronic car, you won't see full throttle when putting the pedal on the floor. On a nDBW (non-DBW) you will.
Tiptronic cars read full t hrottle when you press the pedal to ~75% on DBW cars.

The scenario is always the same for me; pulling out into traffic from a dead stop or a slight roll with no throttle applied. The front wheels are generally turned as well. I will keep the ESP off for a couple of days to solidify the theory.
