Default Last I heard, his collection was valued at over $22M.

I would think he has one of everything...

Default Notice I didn't include the 92FS in my list ;-)

The 226 is a full size service weapon. Nothing wrong with it, I just prefer the smaller 228.

The main gripe I have with any sig is the bore axis height. When you look at a CZ75, Steyr, H&K P7 etc. the barrel sits very low in the frame which reduces muzzle jump. I'm assuming you'll eventually want to do some IDPA shoots with this gun. Less muzzle jump makes it easier to reacquire the target on follow up shots.

Sigs make wonderfully accurate weapons, I just think there are a lot of other guns that you may like better for less money. I would love to have a 220S, but for the same money there are other guns I would be just as happy or maybe even happier with.

Rent/borrow and shoot as many different guns as you can before you buy. Unless you are just a military buff, skip the 92FS.

*The above statements are purely my opinion based on my experience in the subject*

Default I sold a friend an HS2000 before Springfield bought them and called them XD.

Excellent pistol. I think I got him out the door with a surefire tac light for less than $350. Amazing gun for the money (before Springfield changed the name and jacked up the price).

The one gun I really regret selling is my CZ75. At the time they could be had for less than $300, but now they are well over $400.

Default FYI- all the stores in FL buy from the same distributors. RSR is the main supplier

and tend to have the best prices.

Default I know the guy who runs xdtalk.com

I remember when he started it back as hs2000talk.com. He got a pair of HS2000's dirt cheap and decided there wasn't a good resource for owners to commune, so he started a forum. Very small back then, now it's huge. Premier forum for HS2000/XD now.

Default Not in Orlando, but if you prefer German weapons...

Here's something you might consider for home defense...

Say Hello to my little friend...

Don't you have to be a dealer to buy from RSR?

Default Polymer frames make you nervous?

I guess I'm only used to shooting my brother-in-laws Glock (POS). The slide on that thing was unreal loose.

Yep. Just pointing out that they all buy from the same place for relatively the same prices.

Default Polymer is great. The H&Ks actually have a steel skeleton inside the polymer.

It's the S&W autos that make me nervous. They are junk.

Metal frames (like the CZ) tend to shoot a little better due to the increased mass/recoil resistance as long as the bore axis isn't too high.

As long as you buy a quality brand, it all basically comes down to how it fits in your hand and how well it will serve your intended use.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the exotic calibers. They are too expensive to shoot all the time and that's kinda the point isnt it? I shoot my .22 Browning Buckmark more than all of my other guns combined.
