No drying, just spray filtered water on car and let dry in the sun with no spots.

http://www.homemadesimple.com/mrcleanautodry/why_clean.shtml

Default I ordered it, 6-8 weeks delivery.

I find that time frame unbelievable, I guess there is a backlog. It sounds plausible, get the gunk out of water and it won't leave spots. I'll post pics and a report if I ever get the stuff.

Default Continental has a de-ionized water system... its amazing the difference.

There are a few products out there that go on your water system to deionize it... the one they have is $20k or something, I recall Jorge saying.

Default maybe I'll get my water softener hooked up, it's the top of line system that removes everything ...

..supposedly. It's a $4k system from rainsoft. Needs to be plumbed back into my water supply and about $60 in parts. Might be worth it to have good water to keep the car purty with, as well as the other benefits.

4k? No thanks.. I'll stick with my charcoal canisters and particle filter system for $300.

Default It was already part of the house when I got it

So it's free. I can plumb it in myself and just get the parts. Then a $60 bag of salt every 6 months and I get water with a hardness of 0 and everything filtered out.

I do have a Hydrefiner drinking water system which I got for $350 since I had an RO system I got credit on. RO was too expensive to maintain and too wasteful.. 2 gallons used per 1 made, and only get 2 gallons every 4 hours. Filters are $$ too. Going to try and sell the RO system on ebay though, it was $1200 new.
