Well folks, it is that time again! The 11th South Florida GTG is planned for March 15th, 2003, and will be held again at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida (This GTG has been formerly known as the Official South Fla VW/Audi GTG...we streamlined the name, but are still about VWs and Audis only!).

As over 300 people know, the last event was a huge success, catapulting us into the limelight as one of the largest VW/Audi shows in the nation...we had almost 200 cars, and received a write up in Euro Tuner magazine!

This event will be even better than the last. Here are some of the details:

*We have moved the event to the "Special Event" section of Markham park...providing virtually unlimited space for set-up, vendors, and attendees.

*Vendors will be on site again, however this time they will be set up to display as well as sell their products; some may provide installation services on scene too.

*Attendance at the event is free as usual, with option to purchase a food/drink/raffle ticket for $5 for all you can eat or drink until we run out.

*We will be working on an event T-shirt again, the second one after the great success of the inaugural shirt at GTG #10. Designs will be finished in February, and the shirts should be making the early rounds at some of the local weekly GTGs before the main event.

*Police will be present to control the crowd and look out for Fast N Furious-style behavior (not accepted at our events), making it safe to come out with friends or family if you prefer.

Please post here if you are interested in attending the event, to help the organizers plan for appropriate supplies and parking. attendees as well. This makes it pretty complex to plan these fairly large events, considering we are not a club or organization!

I would have loved to attend Sebring again, but we had to make our plans months ago, and we had to work with a dozen sponsors, as well as avoiding other large regional shows (at the time, 1552's Treffen was possibly going to be planned for the same time). We worked out March 15th as being clear of 1552, as well as working out for our sponsors.

Anyway, now any Audi clubbers who can't make it to Sebring have something else available to them that day. If you can't make the event, we'll be back for the next one in late fall/early winter.
