Default Moroso Driver's Ed with RTR Motorsportz Recap

Did my first Driver's Ed with RTR Motorsportz yesterday at Moroso. The car, a '95 BMW M3, was setup with exhaust, race suspension, racing seats and 5 point harnesses. They had a 2 man crew on site all day checking the car after each session, making tweaks and helping the driver's straping in, etc... Great car, great instruction and the best part is I didn't have to have my car towed home from the track. If you are looking for an alternative to tearing up your Audi on the track or buying a dedicated track car, this is it.

How much track time do you get? What is the pricing structure?

Default Track time is generally a function of the club hosting the event...

The event yesterday was host by PCA (Porsche Club of America) and we got 4 20-25 minute sessions (about 2 hours) on the track. The PBOC (Porsche BMW Owners Club) events are two day events and are similar, about 4 30 minutes sessions each day for close to 4 hours of track time over the whole weekend.

The guys I rented the track car from are not affiliated with any of the clubs, they just attend the events to take advantage of the track time. Their pricing structure can be found @ http://www.RTRMotorsportz.com under the "Racecar Rental" link on the left side. When looking at the prices remember that you will not be using your car and incurring any cost such as oil and brake fluids, extra brake pads, rotors, track tires and wheels and risking your warranty with every lap.
