Default Figure it out then call Neil's dad...

He runs brakewharehouse.net or something with a similar cheesy website.

He did me well when I called a few years back.

Go with ceramics. Red box leaves deposits on the rotors and after 15k or so, aren't low dust

Default Mintex= the suck. I'll happily accept more dust (Hawk HPS) to get more consistent performance/no

uneven rotor deposits.

They also have a pretty crappy friction coefficient (hot and cold).

Default Give Axxis a try I say, the Axxis Deluxe will be a little less agressive then Ultimates and less dus

Definately less dust then OEM.

Axxis is a popular pad replacement for BMW's and I never see anyone complaining about them.

Give Dave Z. a call (see link), he will tell you anything you want to know about brakes and point in you the right direction, very knowledgable buy.

I had Mintex Red, initial bite is worse then OEM, but much less dust. I had them on for about 20k miles and had no deposits and noticed no increased dust issues. They did start to squeel a little however.

http://www.zeckhausen.com/Audi/A4_B5.htm</a

Default i agree, the PBR/Axxis Ceramic Ultimates are a good pad for street and track

i used them at gainesville twice now with hardly any fade and low dust

they have plenty of meat, just barely any slots, ECS doesn't cut them to deep at all
