Default Pembroke Pines police now using laser!

They must have gotten them in the mail 2 days ago, those piggies are like kids with a new toy. I've seen no less than 4 laser traps in the last 2 days. I avoided one only because I remembered passing it an hour earlier, I avoided 3 others because of Valentine 1. I know I'll get a ticket sooner or later, V1 won't save me every time.

Default So the V1 is giving you some warning?

My V1's software needs to be updated, because I know laser is starting to get popular in Orlando.

Laser is pretty directional. If it's going off it's because you are being painted.

You can get warning if the car in front of you is being painted, but other than that its game over

Default Last hearing I was at had a laser presentation... At 700 feet beam dispersal on

an older unit was something like 36".. They all use scopes, whether optical or electronic.
The new ones have a video screen and joystick and can track cars coming at close-to-zero-angles. They will then print out an image with an overlay of the speed, distance, distance-closing-average or something, and beam signal info. Quite cool.

FYI - They are running laser on Colonial IFO fasion square.. and at the mainline toll plaza FHP has been sitting IN the tollboths clocking as you come out.

Default V1 will save you if you're not the lead dog going fast...

because you can see others getting nailed. The one time I was in front, I remembered the trap was there so I was going painfully slow. One other note about laser and the V1...the brake lights from a Chevy Trailblazer will set off the laser detector, annoying as hell.

Default I thnk it is like 200 bucks if you trade in your current V1...

And they will send you a brand new V1 with laser support.
