Default PSA!!!! For everyone with a '00 or '01 or '01.5 1.8t that is chipped, Replace your Suction Jet Pump

This is the 3rd chipped 1.8t that I've diagnosed with a leaking Suction jet pump.

<img src="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/images/product/iadmin/2420_x600.jpg">

I diagnosed it about 5 Months ago and AutoXJunkie (justin) decided not to replace it...

Well, It has since BLOWN APART!

The housing ruptured right where the largest circular diameter on the left side is bonded to the main housing....

The digicam is dead so I can't take a picture of it...

All I can say is go to www.1stvwparts.com and order part number: 058133753B It's $18.07.

However, It would also be worth while to order different size one time use clamps from Mcmastercarr. I just ordered one bag each of 5 different sizes just in case. That way I'd have a bunch extra for later. They've really come in handy...

<a href="http://www.mcmaster.com/nav/enter.asp?pagenum=234">Order a buch of clamps and the Pinch Clamp Pincers at the bottom....</a>

Default Same goes for the 30v. Replaced mine almost a year ago.

Causes the valve cover to blow/leak if left unchecked.

Would that also go for '99.5 1.8t or is it DBW only?

look towards the back driver side of the valve cover, it should be right there behind the engine.

Default They've come apart on non-chipped cars also (04 A4), also they get clogged

on higher mileage cars, usually V6, if you can access it and blow through the small tube coming off at an angle, you should be able to.
