Default So I Just found Out I need a new motor for the B6? What should I do

Audi called today and said that the B6 has a bent Rod in the second cyclinder...SO the motor needs a complete overhaul or a swap

What should i do?

Is there a crate built motor solution or do i have my guys in Maryland (induktion motorsports) build it bullet proof.

I would like to keep this under 5 grand but, that is probably a pipe dream

Default Sell me the car...

If you go with a used motor watch out for sludge, but probably not a bad option. Under 5 grand? Get a used motor, have the oil pan & valve cover removed, check the cam bearings for wear, check/change the oil pickup tube, do the usual TB stuff. This is a 1.8t, correct? That should keep it around 5k.

Default if you know any car dealers, try to pickup a junk car from co-parts or some other salvage yard

or just try the ebay thing, but be careful. I have seen a few motors in on car-parts.com that can be found local.

this time, keep the motor stock or try different software
